Black History Month Panel with the EMBRACE Center

The panel discussion, held in celebration of Black History Month, will feature leadership from the University of Pittsburgh's EMBRACE Center of Excellence, a pioneering initiative focused on improving maternal and birthing outcomes and reproductive health through community engagement. EMBRACE is one of only a dozen maternal health research centers of excellence in the U.S. This conversation will explore the center's innovative approach to addressing health disparities, particularly in Black and underserved communities, and highlight the importance of research, collaboration, and policy change in advancing equity in maternal health. The panelists are three Ellis alumnae from the Class of 1998, Dr. Mehret Birru Talabi, Dr. Dara D. Méndez, and Dr. Tamar Krishnamurti.
