Ellis Seniors Honored with Emerging Epidemiologist Awards
Shivani Nangia and Jenna Trent, Class of 2022, have been recognized with Emerging Epidemiologist Awards by EPI Gives Back, a group based in the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology. This esteemed prize recognizes rising public health stars with an outstanding commitment to the ideals of public health, leadership, and service.
Shivani and Jenna were presented with their awards on the Ellis campus by members of the EPI Gives Back leadership team, including Ellis alumna Taylor ROBINSON ’17. Both nominated for the award by Upper School Science Teacher Kassie Wadsworth, Shivani and Jenna plan to pursue their shared passion for medicine at Georgetown University and the University of Virginia respectively.
“Shivani and Jenna are incredibly passionate about public health and helping those in need,” shares Ms. Wadsworth. “They are both amazing young women trying to make the world a better place.”
