Students Bring Excitement, Diverse Interests to Ellis for 2024-2025 School Year

The Ellis School welcomes 410 students to campus for the 2024-2025 school year, including 58 new students across all divisions.
This is the year of sisters! Ten new students have sisters who are currently enrolled, one of our students is the sister of a recent graduate, and two families enrolled two sisters (grades 5 and 7, and grades 4 and 8). We also welcome a set of twins in grade 2—and their mother is an Ellis alumna! This year, our new students include the children of three Ellis alumnae.

Our new students love sports, including softball, soccer, netball, basketball, volleyball, and cross country. They are artists, mathematicians, writers, poets, and dancers. They love to solve puzzles and participate in Girl Scouts. Our new families speak Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, French, Setswana, and Zulu, and 41% are students of color. They are looking forward to meeting new people and participating in everything Ellis has to offer.

Our total student body represents 60 zip codes and 30 school districts, with many living in neighborhoods near the school. Our students live as close to campus as Bakery Square and are from as far away as South Africa.

The Enrollment Management Team extends a huge thank you to everyone in the Ellis Community who has helped with our admission efforts this year. From welcoming our prospective families to Campus, assisting us with events, sharing personal Ellis journeys, interviewing and hosting students, participating in our committees, and joining us to celebrate our new students—we couldn’t do this work without you!
